INTO AN AVENUE
All 20 dwellings are divided into two buildings located on the lines of Jean Jaurès and Juliette de Wils streets. The tallest building takes part in the constitution of the new street front which will gradually transform it into an avenue. The two buildings stage their gables clad in zinc announcing the evolution of the city and future terraces.
All accommodation is dual-aspect. The bedrooms face east, while the living rooms and the kitchens take advantage of the afternoon sun. The apartments are traditionally organized in "day / night corner". However, the design of the raster facades makes it possible to envisage interior reconfigurations making the building modular and recyclable.
The buildings are entirely designed in wooden structure. The floors are suspended between two gable walls. They protrude from the facade on Jean Jaures street by forming awnings protecting from the sun. For the sake of sustainability and so that the wood ages uniformly, it is fully protected from the weather by zinc.
